Cain Velasquez vs. Francis Ngannou
Last time Cain fought was almost 2 years ago meanwhile Ngannou fought 6 times. I've seen some footage of Cain and he looked a little old and rusty. He's 36 and he's been in some big wars but he's injuries concern me even more. Body can't heal that fast anymore. Ngannou lost 2 of last 3 fights and he didn't look good. If we look at this match stylistic there is almost no chance Ngannou could win this fight. Wrestling and pressure from Cain is just to much for anyone but we don't know which Cain will show up. But we know Ngannou is big underdog here and it only takes on shot for him to win. So I am going with the UPSET in this one. Francis Ngannou via TKO.
James Vick vs. Paul Felder
Another great fight in lightweight division. They were both on a good run but both lost their last fight. So this is probably 50/50. But I'm going with Felder on this one I think he's to strong and better in stand up. Paul Felder by Unanimous decision.
Cortney Casey vs. Cynthia Calvillo
I don't know much about these to fighters. But I think Cynthia Calvillo takes this one. Cynthia Calvillo via Submission.
Alex Caceres vs. Kron Gracie
I am looking forward for this fight! Kron Gracie debut against now already UFC veteran Alex "Bruce Leroy" Ceceres. A lot of people think Kron will just run through Ceceres take him down and submit him. That's posible of course but I think Kron will have his hand full more than people think. I think he's going to have hard time to take Ceceres down. I can see him taking his back in some scramble and choking him out. But I'm going with another "upset" I think Ceceres is too crafty and long in stand up he's going to stop his takedowns and pick him apart on the feet. Alex Ceceres by Unanimous decision.
Vicente Luque vs. Bryan Barberena
Another interesting fight in welterweight division. Vincente is on a great run winning his last 3 fights all with stoppage. Two KO's and one submission (D'arce choke). Meanwhile Barbarena is 2-1 in alt 3 fights. Two TKO's and one loss via decision. They both lost to Leon Edwards by decision in their last losses. So another 50/50 fight. I'll go with Vincente Luque by Unanimous decision.
Andre Fili vs. Myles Jury
This could be another great fight in featherweight division. Both fighters with some wins and some loses in last few fights. I think Myles Jury is very talented and underrated and I think he never showed how good he really is. Fili could probably win this with same takedowns and grinding. But i think Jury is going to stop the takedowns and land some shots on the feet to earn him decision. Myles Jury by Unanimous decision.
Just few words about two preliminary fights:
Aljamain Sterling vs. Jimmie Rivera
I think think this is another great fight. Again both of their loses were against Marlon Moraes via KO. Sterling winning his last fight with some slick modified kneebar (Suloev stretch) gain some momentum but I think Rivera will stop his takedowns and pick him apart with some kicks and bombs on the feet. Jimmie Rivera by Unanimous decision or late TKO.
Renan Barao vs. Luke Sanders
Another tough one to call. Once dominant champion now prelims fighter Renan Barao didn't look good in his last few fights. Since loosing to TJ Dillashaw for the first time he only won 2 fights and lost 5 times. On the other side Sanders is not much better losing 3 of last 4 fights. Barao looks like all the wars inside the cage and gym got to him. He looks slow and he can't take punches like he used to. I think he's going to try to take Sanders down and submit him. Renan Barao via Submission.
